The Korbinian is a fine example of the hearty, malt-driven doppelbock (or "double bock") style, but it’s definitely not just for lovers of strong beer. This smooth, creamy, medium-to-full-bodied beer is eminently drinkable and highly regarded by lovers of the style. Pours a deep mahogany colour with a big, tan, creamy head. Aromas of dried fruit, prunes, dates and raisins, coffee, chocolate and caramel. Palate is rich and fruity, with dates and raisins and caramel, fading into coffee and chocolate.
