The Belvoir Brewery (pronounced “beaver”) was set up in 1995 by Colin Brown, who previously brewed with Shipstone and Theakston. The brewery is situated in the picturesque Vale of Belvoir. This Premium full flavoured beer is named after a famous prank - on the 6th of April 1837, following a fancy to-do, the Marquis of Waterford and his large (and presumably drunk) entourage literally painted Belvoir red. The beer pours more of a golden amber than red, with pleasant aromas of honey, white bread, toffee, and a light biscuit maltiness. The flavours are smooth, fresh, and well integrated with a medium bitterness, showing exemplary balance and drinkability. Very classy!

Apple beer stopped being made hundreds of years ago and although many people have tried to imitate Billy B’s no one has succeeded. The flavours are apple sweetness similar to Golden Delicious, apple acidity from Granny Smiths and a rich malty mouth feel plus plenty of alcohol.
