Just falling short of the “Oldest Brewery in the World” title (beaten by Weihenstephan by a mere 10 years!), Weltenburger is located near Kelheim, Bavaria, Klosterbrauerei. Weltenburg resides on a mighty picturesque spot of land on the Danube River, and, unlike state owned Weihenstephan, Weltenburg still remains an active Benedictine monastery. Believed to be the oldest monastery in Bavaria, Weltenburg was founded in 620A.D.,although definite evidence of brewing does not emerge until 1050.
Pilsner
Matured by cool and long storage, this Pils is less tart than those from Northern Germany, yet more complex. It has a delectable grassy hop character imparted by the use of European noble hops, and a crisp, dry finish. Dry and hoppy and thoroughly enjoyable.
Tasting Notes:
A pale, straw yellow colour, with a tight long lasting head, this beer just screams quality. The initial aroma is of passionfruit and citrus hops, and a doughy malt scent emerges as the beer warms. The beer is refreshingly crisp with a wonderful interplay between the bitter German hops and the sweet bready malt, be warned you will not be able to stop at just one.

A collaboration between two of the world's finest brewers - Mikkeller and De Molen, bore this amazing "wheat wine" (heavily hopped weizenbock). Full of rich malt flavours, huge hop aromas and a firm, lingering bitterness, this is a very special beer. Each bottle is numbered, the release is very limited.
